My Best Friends Exorcism
by Hendrix, Grady

Grady does a nice job of blending the oddities of Southern living with horror elements, adding in a dash of gore and a big helping of compassion for his characters. I really liked the young girls in this book. It was a breezy, easy-peasy read. SPOILER: Had I known the dog died, I probably wouldn't have read it.

Fahrenheit 451
by Ray Bradbury

This is one "HOT" science fiction book. It was written in the 1950s, but surprisingly predicts technology that we have now. Without giving the story away, there can be many connections to today's world.
